Every year, this global event brings together thousands of professionals in agronomic and environmental sciences, programmers, entrepreneurs and socio-environmental leaders to develop in-situ technology-based projects to mitigate the climate crisis. The second Argentine edition will take place on September 13 and 14 in the City of Córdoba. The prize for the winning team will be the Ventures Academy program run by the Entrepreneur Center of the University of San Andrés and the Endeavor Foundation, access to a network of expert mentors and specialized investors that will help grow the chosen idea.
Climathon, the global climate innovation event, arrives in the province of Córdoba on September 13 and 14, offering a unique platform to develop sustainable solutions and face climate challenges. This initiative of Climate-KIC, an organization supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology of the European Union, is carried out in conjunction with Environmental Agenda, with the support of the Respira Córdoba Project, co-financed by the European Union and managed by the Secretariat of Smart City and Digital Transformation of the Municipality of Córdoba. In addition, it has the collaboration of CorLab, the public innovation and govtech laboratory of the Municipality of Córdoba, and Antom.la as local co-organizers. This second edition of Climathon promises to bring together multidisciplinary teams of students, professionals, entrepreneurs and others interested in the creation of enterprises and environmental solutions enhanced by science and technology.
What is Climathon?
Climathon is an innovation event based on the Design Thinking methodology, designed to encourage the creation and development of climate solutions. Since its launch in 2015, Climathon has involved the participation of more than 30,000 people around the world, working together to promote carbon-neutral cities better adapted to climate change.
