"Conocer para querer" is an Environmental Education project proposed by Agenda Ambiental Córdoba and the Centro Cultural Córdoba España. Its purpose is to initiate the exploration of the relationship with nature and the environmental actions that can be carried out in a simple but meaningful way for our planet.
The project is aimed at young people between 12 and 18 years old in the City of Córdoba, aiming to establish an environmental connection through various educational workshops organized in different topics: Urban Solid Waste, Food Sovereignty, Sustainable Development Goals (ODS), Native Flora and Fauna, and Circular Economy. There will be a total of 8 sessions, each lasting 3 hours, with limited capacity.
Environmental Education is cross-cutting and complementary to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations Assembly. It should be understood as the training of individuals to understand and recognize the interactions between what is "natural" and "social" in their surroundings. It is also about taking action to ensure that human activities do not deteriorate the balance of natural processes, promoting a good quality of life for all living beings.
In many parts of the world, Environmental Education has evolved into a discipline that cuts across all other areas, including art in all its forms and sporting activities.
